Peter, first motiv is not winning. Instead of (13) black plays (12) =.
EddieУчастникYour question is not completely clear to me. But I do not see any 7×7 problems with the manoeuvre 18, 3 etc. ending with one black piece left on 26 or 36.

EddieУчастникProblem looks new enough to me, Peter. Of course the manoeuvre 44, 23, 4 is used before in other 7×7’s (as in 01/06/10/14/20/29/40 — 13/16/17/22/28/32/49 [J. Groeneveld, 1965]), but these problems are in fact totally different.
EddieУчастникTo the people who must be wondering why I made a crazy analytical remark in the simple endgame below: my screen is old and does not show the best quality anymore. Therefore I just missed the extra black piece on 5. And without 5 it’s indeed = by (42).

EddieУчастникThe problem:
07/16/23/24/26/35/40 — 17/21/22/27/33/38/44
is very similar to a problem of J. Viergever:
07/16/23/26/30/35/40 — 17/21/22/27/32/43/44.
It is since 1995 in the Groeneveld Archive, but I don’t know if Viergever has published it somewhere.EddieУчастникСпасибо, Петр, для вашей работы!
